Snoring Heads
The purpose of this piece was to arouse engagement. It used the viewers as a circuit to create snoring sounds played from my computer with touch. It was exciting to see the community connection that formed when a group discovered that through holding hands they could work together to complete the circuit. It became a kind of communal instrument where the various snoring sounds acted as different keys.

What Connects You to Your IDENTITY?
For my showcase in 2016, I provided a collaborative art piece for people to add to and share what connects them to their identity. I saw children and adults write down their thoughts and proudly glue their colorful strips of paper to my large collage of a woman’s head. These paper strips completed her hair – it became a ‘fro of the community's identity connection. I enjoy providing an accessible jumping-off point for self-expression and the community created from it.
