A.L.I.V.E
A.L.I.V.E was created as an educational and awareness model for how young Black men should respond when pulled over by the police. The figure features my younger brother. I was inspired to make this piece after hearing the conversation my father had with him to prepare him for when he is confronted with this highly possible and dangerous situation. Each section portrays the necessary steps to employ for a chance at survival.
Barrage
Covered in news clippings around police brutality and America's current climate, "Barrage" embodies the reality of black bodies in this country reflecting the continuous injustices placed upon them.
